Lucie Woodhouse Events - Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") apply to all services provided by Lucie Woodhouse Events ("we", "us", "our") to the client ("you", "your") for event planning and coordination services. By engaging our services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Introduction
These Terms govern the provision of event planning and coordination services by Lucie Woodhouse Events. By engaging our services or booking an event, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by these Terms.

2. Booking & Payment
  • Booking Confirmation: To confirm your booking and secure your event date, a non-refundable deposit of 25% of the booking total is required. The deposit will be deducted from the total cost of your event.
  • Final Payment: The remaining balance is due 30 days before the event date unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. Failure to make the final payment by the due date may result in cancellation of the event and forfeiture of the deposit.
  • Payment Methods: We accept payments in GBP (£) via the following methods: bank transfer. All payments must be made in GBP (£).
  • Late Payments: Any late payments will incur an additional charge of 2% per day until payment is received in full.

3. Services Provided
We offer a range of event planning services, including but not limited to:
  • Full event planning and coordination
  • Vendor recommendations and management
  • Design and décor
  • On-the-day event management
  • Additional services as agreed upon in writing
A detailed description of services to be provided will be outlined in your agreement with us.

4. Event Cancellations & Changes
  • Client Cancellation: If you need to cancel or reschedule your event, you must notify us in writing as soon as possible.
    • If the event is cancelled 30 days or more in advance, only the deposit will be forfeited. No further payments will be due.
    • If the event is cancelled less than 30 days before the event, the full remaining balance will be due.
  • Force Majeure: In the event of unforeseen circumstances (such as natural disasters, pandemics, or other emergencies) that prevent the event from taking place, we will work with you to reschedule the event or explore alternative options. In such cases, refunds of deposits will be at our discretion.

5. Client Responsibilities
  • You agree to provide accurate and timely information, including but not limited to event details, budget, guest count, and preferences.
  • You are responsible for securing all necessary permits, licenses, insurance, or other legal requirements for the event, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
  • If you wish to work with specific vendors or suppliers, we will make reasonable efforts to coordinate with them. However, we do not assume responsibility for their performance.

6. Event Changes & Additional Costs
  • Changes: Any changes to the event details after initial agreements have been made may incur additional charges. These will be communicated and agreed upon by both parties before being implemented.
  • Additional Services: Any services requested during the event that were not included in the original agreement will be subject to additional fees. These services will be discussed and confirmed with you prior to implementation.

7. Liability
  • Limitations: We are not liable for any loss, injury, or damage incurred during or after the event, except where caused by gross negligence or misconduct by our team.
  • Third-Party Vendors: We are not responsible for the performance of third-party vendors or suppliers, and we are not liable for any cancellations, issues, or failures of service on their part.

8. Intellectual Property
  • All designs, concepts, plans, and materials created by Lucie Woodhouse Events for your event remain our intellectual property, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
  • We reserve the right to use event images, video footage, and promotional materials for our portfolio, website, or marketing purposes, unless you explicitly request otherwise in writing prior to the event.

9. Confidentiality
  • We agree to keep all client information confidential and will not share it with third parties unless required to do so for the execution of the event (e.g., vendors or suppliers).

10. Dispute Resolution
  • Resolution: Both parties agree to attempt to resolve any disputes amicably. If a resolution cannot be reached, the parties may seek legal remedies through the courts of England and Wales.
  • Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR): We encourage the use of alternative dispute resolution methods before seeking formal legal action.

11. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

12. Changes to Terms & Conditions
We reserve the right to modify or update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Any changes will be communicated to you in writing. Your continued engagement with our services after any such changes will be considered acceptance of the new Terms.

By signing our agreement or booking our services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
